1937 Barros Colheita (bottled 2008)

Post by Axel P »

The darkest Colheita in the tasting. Deep concentration. The nose reveals some mature coffee and malt-flavours with a burnt component â€‟ has this wine ever been stored in the Douro for a while, since this reminds me a lot on the Douro bake â€‟ taste of the Vesuvio 89.

The mouth is extremely sweet with burnt coffee. The aftertaste is very short. An interesting Colheita which lacks complexity. 17

Does the label say when it was bottled? They are still bottling the 37's upon request. There's not much left.

Moses,

all the Colheitas were bottled in 08. And you are right. Only tiny quantities left.
