Bought at Trader Joes for a paltry sum, and

+0 Heat in the nose, together with cherries, currants, and bit of butterscotch (but very clearly butterscotch -- like "Hello! Notice me under all that burn? 'm Butterscotch!"). The butterscotch left the building once in the mouth, where it was all heat and cherries and inexpensive portiness. This wine has a lot in common with a nice ruby.

+2 Cherries and currants on the nose. No more butterscotch. The taste is just the same as the nose -- fruity but nothing more. Maybe a little caramel behind there. The alcohol hides till the end, when it comes on strong at the back of the tongue and nose. Leaves a slight metallic taste in the throat, like I'd licked too much aluminum foil.

Bottled it back up for tonight, its drinkable but nothing special.

+6 Boring. Just a glass of port, nothing special, nothing interesting. Kept that heat in the tail and a nice smooth texture. A little oil on the tongue (cheese) made it taste kinda fishy.
