1970 Martinez vintage port

Post by DRT »

Acquired from the cellar of AHB

Decanted (without filtration) very cleanly off a well formed thick crust.

Combined effort TN from DRT and ARK.

Decanted 8 Hours
Cherry nose with a hint of tobacco. Nice deep red with a little brown. Very thick and sticky in the mouth. Blackforest gateaux. Slightly hot in the middle. Nice long finish.

ARK says the finish is sour and DRT says sweet, so: Sweet 'n' Sour finish.

A decent enough port but not spectacular.
