An odd bottle that I've had for quite a long time. English bottled, but with no clue as to the bottler. Unusually, the capsule was an unembossed silver foil. Branded cork, but no bottler's name
Decanted two days ago. Little bit of bottle stink at first, together with some fire. The stink went, but the fire has been very persistant.
Despite recognisable signatures of both the shipper and vintage, this wine seems a bit 'lite' - a poor bottling, possibly?
Nevertheless this is still a very agreeable quaff. The wine shows as being fully mature, possibly a tad beyond (although I'd want to try another before being definitive about that)
Score 7-6
