Since the 94 Cockburn was fairly far developed at the tasting, I am sitting here with a fresh bottle to re-test the Port.
After 5 hrs in the decanter it seems very dark-red with minor signs of age. The nose is quite passive yet with some plums comming through, though very elegant. Complex in the mouth with very nice fruits of plums and rasberries at first, but then some alcohol and finally some not too integrated tannins are getting in. Well, I do not expect them to be that integrated yet. In my humble oppinion this will be an excellent, very elegant Vintage Port and definitely a typical Cockburn in some 10 years from now.
The aftertaste was quite long with fruits and some very light acidity. Excellent.

It acutally went better with more decanting time. Had its peak at about 24 hrs. It appeared to be more fruity in the nose as well as on the palate. Less tanic, too.
Excellent stuff, but will not be one for the ages like some of his brothers from the same vintage and some others of the house (as 14 lucky guys found out a month ago).
