2006 Quinta do Vesuvio single quinta vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Very black wine. Swirling coats the glass with a purple rain. Pure blueberry juice on the nose with youthful power. Initially the fruit dominates in the mouth before some powerful tannins peep through that curtain of blueberry. This is pure fruit juice with a very, very long aftertaste. An excellent wine. 92/100. Tasted 30/10/08 after 3 hours decanting.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
