1966 Taylor vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Pale centre and a watery rim. Nose is aa little farmyardy, mixed over the top of mature fruit. Sweet, elegant and mature in the mouth with lots of secondary characteristics of leather and meat juices livened up with spicy coriander and sweet lychee. A big aftertaste, which tingles and dominates. Wonderful for drinking today and not likley to drop off its high plateau any time soon. 94/100. Tasted 27/11/08.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
