1975 Cockburn: much paler than the ’70, but the same hue. Little nose. To taste thin and quite acidic.

No pictures — sorry.

Light colour. Browning. Spirity nose. Light weight, acidic with a watery finish. I was not impressed with this wine and it unfortunately didn't help my ongoing battle to persuade JDAW that 1975 VPs can be worth drinking

Very light colour, by far the palest of the flight, pale brown. Very light nose of roses and turkish delight. Very simple in the mouth with redcurrants and surprisingly, still some tannins around. A delicate and lingering aftertaste. A very pleasant port, but by no means a "must have". Gained a little weight in the glass over time, but still simple and straightforward. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Miguel Côrte-Real sent AHB some of his own notes on the various vintages, some obviously drafted in advance, some from the day itself.
