1986 Warre Quinta da Cavadinha

Post by jdaw1 »

Warre Quinta da Cavadinha 1986: very black-red, no blue, no brown, and opaque. Nose at D+0 quite closed. Then what is that? vanilla? Mint? Melon? To taste some heat, quite light, but refreshing. Rather short.
A mite harsh I’m liking this. Not great, for sure, but entirely acceptable.

I thought you were on a port-drinking ban?

Light refreshment permitted. And as we have guests, can open something. Won’t be finished tonight.

Warre Quinta da Cavadinha 1986: the following day there’s a hint only a hint of roughness, with a rather pleasant refreshing note. Quaffable, but nothing special and at its best.
