Gould Campbell 1997: Half way between purple and red. Nose started with a faint trace of bottle stink, and blackcurrants, and stems from the vine. JB found ‟raspberry, and candied orange peel”. To taste far too young; good length, blackcurrant strongly in the mid-palate. MW and ED found menthol, with which I agreed.

Dark garnet purples, but in the nose it's like rotting steak. Green leaves (thanks julian) in the taste, it's rough with a little fruit and a lot of tannin. 87.
