2000 Taylor's LBV

Post by RonnieRoots »

Drank on the terrace of a restaurant with beautiful view of the Gulf of Oman. Emergency glass to accompany an unexpected chocolate cake, brought in honour of LadyR's birthday. 25 again.

I haven't got a clue how long this particular bottle had been open, or when it was bottled (although I'm guessing 2006).

Soft textured, some fire on the nose, but not much. Some figs, some plums, and a slightly bitter, firey finish. I said it was a decent drink, about 83 points, that I wouldn't mind being able to buy as daily drinker. Given that the alternative is Cockburn Special Reserve, this is definitely better. LadyR didn't like it at all and said she would rather drink water.
