1977 Quarles Harris

D0 brick red rim, crystal clear rich magenta with a figgy nose. Rewarding in the mouth, sweet fruit, caramel, spice and a surprising wallop of alcohol with a hint of acid. Great with Davistow mature cheddar! Nice port, not earth shattering but good and honest.

D6 Spice and acid more subdued. Pallate dominated by sweet sugar water, caramel and rasin. Drank it quick :)

Bought at Auction allegedly well cellared. Overall above average for what I drink (but not by that much).
