2007 Graham's

Post by DRT »

Tasted as part of DRT's Review of 2007 Cask Samples

Each of the paragraphs below are separate notes taken over a period of a few days:

Nose quite muted. Very, very smooth and fruity with no big tannins or acidity kicking in at any stage. Finish a little hollow and short.

Same nose and delicious soft and smooth entry. Tannins now drier and finish longer but not a big wine.

Still not much on the nose. Very smooth and delicious. Tannins now gripping the cheeks and lips in a long finish. "not a bog wine" may have been wrong!

Smells like Niepoort. Delicious but not big. Decent finish which is dominated by dry tannins.

Nice weight, high acidity and an extremely dry finish. Scrumptuous. Not a heavyweight but beautiful.

Christmas pudding nose. Nice thick entry with high acidity and a very dry finish. Gorgeous blackcurrant jam.
