By deduction it is Karate, Something, Run.

No idea what the something is, of course!

If only you were an educated man, I would guess Golf!!!

OK - nearly two weeks have passed. I'll give a clue - I'm doing the missing one again toniht, as I do most Mondays that I'm not sipping Nacional 63 at Quinta do Noval. It is not horseback riding but somebody could get confused in this three day event.

My guesses of Cricket and Cycling were both based on what I thought was the clue - i.e. "not horseback riding (cycling)...three day event (cricket). Did I completely miss the clue? (Glenn seems to have been thinking of the same clue as i was)

Orienteering, run, karate?

(That's hiking with a map and compass, in case that's not what it is called in the UK.)

In the UK "Orienteering" means "trying to find your way to bed after an off-line"
