2004 Quinta do Crasto vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep in colour, opaque and with a slight hint of violet on the rim. Closed on the nose, showing a little heat and blueberry juice. Very silky in structure; lovely fruit and soft tannins. Fruit builds to huge levels and is held together by a great acidity. Chocolate coated plums on the aftertaste, which justs lasts for a very long time. Opulent and delicious. 89/100. Drunk 29 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
