2005 Kopke vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Blackcurrants all over the nose and a strong streak of menthol. Very well balanced entry, some heat shows through the fruit and there is a biting level of acidity. After a long interval the soft tannins show through. This has a lot of youthful complexity. The tannic grip on the aftertaste fades quite quickly. Perhaps a little light in texture. 87/100. Drunk 27 June 2009.
