Light in colour, pale centre and a pale orange rim. Nosing of mature redcurrant jelly. Good body, initially sweet and mature fruit. Very nice flavours and some good complexity. Soft and gentle, although it dries out quickly in the mouth. A mild and spicy aftertaste, which si sweet and enjoyable and of good length. 87/100. Drunk 28 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
