2003 Burmester LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Filtered. A gentle nose, lightly fruity. Lively and spicy in the mouth, really quite peppery from the strong acidity. Gentle and entertaining aftertaste, pleasant and elegant. 85/100. Drunk 27 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Sad to hear that Burmester filters its LBV's these days. Their unfiltered LBV's used to be very good.
