1985 Delaforce VP

Post by benread »

Decanted at 7.30pm. Clean decant with lots of thick sediment at the bottom. Almost like flakes. Very fruity initially on the nose. A medium red but clear in the decanter.

The bottle appeared to be in good condition, but the cork broke as it came out. No signs of leakage.

More to follow.

The prominant taste was licquorice! Really quite noticable, but not at all unpleasant, even for someone like me that does not like liquorice as a product! This is not a heavyweight port, but very drinkable now and one I would buy again if available at a reasonable price.

And I still have half the bottle for tonight!
