1977 Taylor

Post by jdaw1 »

1977 Taylor: mid translucency and a lovely red hue. At D+0 nosing of vanilla or eucalyptus, or maybe both. Untasted then busy. At D+5hr heat on the tongue, lovely long sweetness of no particular red fruit, very long and soft. Of medium weight. The heat present throughout. No obvious vanilla or eucalyptus. Thoroughly enjoyable, even if not quite of the first rank.

Lovely. At the flatness of the maturity plateau: I think unlikely to improve, but no hurry to consume. 8-8, maybe.
