1975 Fonseca

Post by DRT »

Drunk to celebrate AHB's 46th Birthday.

Decanted on 13th Oct 09. A sample that was destined to be posted to JDAW but, alas, never made it.

Reasonably dark but translucent red. Spicy nose with some red fruits. Mid weight, very smooth with lots of cherry truffle. A little hot in the mid-palate but then a nice warming finish. Not a stunning example of what Fonseca can do but a very good functional and fully mature VP at the right price.

Happy Birthday, AHB

Sorry, JDAW

Another sip revealed cinnamon.
