Wine of the night for me.

3 days later,

Sweet black berries , allspice and fresh mint on the nose. Beautiful candied raspberries, candied prunes (if there can be such a thing- Tbird) with a touch of black licrorice, smooth and integrated. Finish of fine tobacco and rich dark chocolate.

On the 3rd day this has still held it's ground tasting no different then the first day it was opened. I actually got almost identical notes after looking up what I wrote on friday, the only difference was raspberries instead of black berries on the nose.

93.

at +5, a nose heavy in fruit and tannin, with some eucalyptus and a hint of chocolate. Nice strong color. In the mouth, it's foremost tannin and heat, followed by apple, cherries and purple fruit, then a bit of black pepper. Not much of a tail. This strikes me, overall, as "Port stuff" but not necessarily that amazing -- the tail in particular was disappointing and so I give it a 90; it's drinking well now and will probably improve over the next 5 years.

It's interesting to see the different tasting thoughts on this one.
