Tasted within the Niepoort Range on Nov 27th with Dirk Niepoort:

When the 85 is good, it is really good, but this wasnt. Totally spoiled by VA.

Did you guys talk about the VA problem of the '85's during the tasting?

Yep, we all encountered this phenomenon on the Niepoort 85 already and Dirk did, too. As always the hygenic problem (either with the bottles and/or the corcs)

Such a pity that this port is spoiled by VA so often. The port underneath is incredibly good.

I definitely is. Dirk offered to do another follow on tasting next year with his 27-45-42 and so on. I will plan 3 btls of 85 since it is outrageous if not spoiled.
