Currently on at Tesco for just shy of a tenner.
Decanted, sediment firmly set at the base of the bottle from being on the shop shelf.
At first, sweaty whiff of school changing room, with some acidity and dried fruit. Good fruit-forward taste, silky, with tangy acidity and tongue-puckering tannin, heat and sweetness provide the finish. Pretty good. Long lingering acidity, with the tannin. It's fairly restrained, and ought to improve. However the acidity makes it a very good food port now - went well with a rich home made Lancashire hotpot this evening.

A new descriptor to add to our list. Should we categorise descriptors including a "slightly kinky" category? At first, sweaty whiff of school changing room
Port is basically a red drink

I suppose that descriptor is at risk from causing offence to the same people who, a number of years ago, vandalised a paediatrician's house.
For the record, the Noval had become disjointed after 24 hours, a bit cloying, faded acidity and little tannin.
