Slightly browned-off deep ruby. Very sharp note on the nose, similar to the Graham's sharpness. Massive alcoholic hit in the mouth and again distinctly sharp but cherries and plums were also banging about vying for position. Later on the acidic hit had turned to orange and made for a lovely complex fruit-filled wine.

This needed some time to come together. Beautiful bright colour when poured into the decanter and bright red fruity taste, though very sharp and acidic. Gained immensely in colour during an hour in the decanter, and softened out considerably. Much more dark flavours, with coffee, chocolate, plums and also some redcurrant. Spicy finish, incredibly long. Very youthful and complex. One of the best ports I've tasted this year.

I was SO happy with this Port! One of two bottles bought in Belgium a few years ago, no labels, only a capsule with "Taylor's Port 1963". Presumed to be a British bottling, but the (huge) cork broke after Ronnie expertly tonged the bottle. After reconstruction, only "Taylor" remained readable. Fill level was just into neck.

What a treat - delicious! Nothing to add to Ronnie's TN, a superb glass of VP...I can still taste it.
