1977 Taylor

Post by jdaw1 »

25th December, 1977 Taylor accompanied by a 1977 Quarles Harris.

At D+0: Mid-translucent, red at centre to brown at edge. The colour of mature medium-weight port. Nosing of the cooking in the kitchen, so taking a sip outside. Rather closed and slightly acidic taste needs time in the decanter. More anon.

D+4: less closed, and softer than at D+0. Still heat, still acidity, and, though fuller than the QH77, not as full as a great Taylor. Needs another fraction of a day in the decanter, and isn’t going to get it.
