2003 Graham
Very dark, deep red and absolutely opaque. Still showing blueberries all over the nose, with hints of other things. Fresh violets mixed in with dry blackcurrant skins dominate the initial impressions before the tannins grab hold; delicious fat fruit dominating over a lovely acidity. Sweet blueberry aftertaste with dry tannins holding the cheeks. Potentially a great wine with another 20-30 years in the cellar. 92/100.

Re: 2003 Graham
Extremely dark purple. On the nose, the grapyness of a very young Port was immediately apparent. Enormous amounts of fruit but at this stage in its life and by this point in the tasting, I found it impossible to access.
Re: 2003 Graham
A kindly soul posted me a sample of G03 (and GM68 and GM01), which was tasted yesterday, 2nd April, eleven days after being decanted. The King James Bible, Peter I 4:8, wrote:And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Graham’s 2003: 92% opaque, so a hint more than the ’01. More closed, but richer. Some prune, but other tannic sweetness clearly present and preventing the prune overwhelming. Needs lots more time. Lots.
Reminded me of a Vesuvio.
Thank you kindly soul.
