1910 Andresen colheita

Postby AHB on 23:05 Sun 28 Mar 2010

Bottled 1973. Fusty nose, perhaps some bottle stink, underneath which was some atractive molasses and some unattractive black treacle. Smooth entry, sweet and pleasant but then some bitter tones come through that spoil the mouthfeel, but these resolve themselves to yield a balanced and pleasant mouthful of wine. The aftertaste starts with a lovely warm glow but this fades quickly. 90/100. Drunk 1 July 2007.
Vintage Port - the only wine worth the wait
