W66: Red! The oldest port the colour of which wasn’t orange. Fairly full flavours, dominated by red fruit that I though strawberry. My WOTN.

On the night: My rather pathetic note says - dark red - fruity nose - quite dry. However, I do recall enjoying this wine very much and voted it to be my second wine of the night after the 55.

4 days later: Nice delicate nose. AHB says "quince jelly" - I will just believe him because I couldn't tell what it was. Good weight, smooth, with dried fruits and some tannins. A warm finish which is long and satisfying. Very, very good port.
