W77: glorious red, 40% translucent. Again heat. A little hollow mid-palate. Rich and sweet red fruit.

On the night: Fabulous colour - bright translucent red - exactly how port should look. Peppery nose with cherries on the palate and a long sweet finish. Very nice.
4 days later: Dark, bright red. Similar nose to the '66 but with more red fruits (Bunberry?) - nice weight with a lovely thick texture of rich black fruits and lots of tannin. Delicious. Really delicious. Lots of life ahead.
