I was quite pleased to guess the right year for this! A bit more subtle than the wines from the major vintage which we drank alongside but that was compensated by an elegance which made it quite attractive.

Mz67: and guessed by me from the clues alone. Lovely red hue, though 70%ish translucent. To taste lots of heat, redcurrant fruit, and maybe redcurrant jelly.

A bit floral, soft in the mouth. When first served, I thought this was showing well, but as time went on, the finish continued to fall apart. By the end of the night it was light, alcoholic and harsh. 85 pts
