1955 Taylor vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mature, mid-red colour, going rose on the rim. Very off nose, somewhat antiseptic with perhaps some bitter sloes. Quite sweet in the mouth, albeit slightly hollow but a mid-palate belance of damsons and violet drops. Dry, blueberry jelly finish with a dry and tannic length of a good duration. 90/100. Drunk 26 May 2010 after 8 hours decanting.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
