Re: 1982 Delaforce
D +30 minutes: a very pale pink; nosing of not much, perhaps a bit of Turkish Delight and charcoal. Very sweet in the mouth with some pleasant, figgy fruit. A surprising amount of tobacco spiciness and complexity on the palate of this port and with a good balance of structural acidity. Very floral aftertaste, although there is a bit of a burn at the start of the finish this is followed by a long flavour of red aniseed balls that tingled the edges of the tongue. A much better port than I was expecting, enjoyable and perfectly mature. 87/100.

Re: 1982 Delaforce
Quite light; muted on the nose with perhaps a touch of washing-up-liquid (though that, thankfully, didn't get in the way). In the mouth, a striking treacle flavour balanced against some acidity. Long aftertaste where Cointreau predominated.

Re: 1982 Delaforce
Feminine. Light. Both in color and on the attack. Mid-weight mid-palate, with a spiced perfume component that was a bit curious. Kinda like a 'good girl gone bad' vibe, but in a mid-1930s sort of way. Imagine Snow White, after filming with Walt and Co, going to Paris to sit outside on a pleasant May afternoon and drinking a nice, spirited drink as she contemplates her next move. THAT'S WHAT THIS WINE TASTES LIKE TO ME. Also -- a bit of coffee on the finish that was rather surprising. Not enough 'umph' or balance for me. It is a light, feminine, wandering port.

Sweet, pale and very light on the palate; but really quite nice to drink, with no rough edges.
A wine to drink sooner rather than later.

Re: 1982 Delaforce
This bt of Delaforce 1982 was sourced from a perfect Belgian cellar via Axel. Hence I think this was the reason why this was still very nice. Otherwise this is a Port that should be drunk despite being very nice when haveing a good bt. Pale in colour and its light appearance do sum up the Delaforce weaknesses. Otherwise the complexity is nice and make the wine fairly attractive.

Pale colour with little pigment remaining. Charcoal and tobacco on the nose. Light fruit, gentle acidic structure; mature and balanced. Soft aftertaste, full of igs and dates and with plenty of volume. Others commented that the finish was of oranges and cointreau. A light-bodied and very elegant port to be drunk soon. 88/100; drunk after 2 hours decanting.
