1947 Constantino Vintage Port

Post by Axel P »

Decanted 12 hrs in advance, this port travelled with us from Porto to Crasto that day and was drunk after some perfect wines and ports with Miguel.

This wine was unbelieveably young. Black in colour (alike the Crasto 87 and 94 we had along with it) with an extremely intense structure. On the palate there was lots of coffee and still some prime fruit. Long aftertaste. I dare to say that this port still needs some time (i.e. at least another 10 years). 18

Brought it to Crasto due to the extremely good experience some us of had with the 41 from Tom, which was more developed and therefore better to enjoy that day.
