1963 Ferreira

Post by DRT »

Tasted at Chez Bridgeman this evening from a Malvedos 1979 bottle.

DRT: When was this decanted?
AHB: A long time ago.

DRT: What does that smell like?
AHB: Shoe polish?

DRT: I'm getting some sort of boiled sweet.
AHB: Yes, gobstoppers and aniseed.

AHB: Hmmm, this tastes quite delicious.

DRT: Lovely mature Port. Lots of dried fruits and deliciously smooth and warming. Needs a log fire.

AHB: This is actually the Ferreira 1963 that we had in Baslow.
