Hugely floral nose, with a streak of sage running through the bouquet. Unusual, but by no means unpleasant. Sour acidity hides inside a core of sweet fruit but the overall impression is one of elegance and balance, with lovely layers of fruit in the wine. A big flush of blueberry fruit on the aftertaste, followed by a long and very fruity finish of chocolate and cherries. 89-91/100. Wonderfully elegant port. 7 July 2010.
