Sharp, astringent nose. Lots of acidity and tannin, little fruit. Not very loveable.

Sixth flight, served alongside Guimaraens 1995.
Dark. Some vegetable and VA on the nose, not necessarily nice. Tastes really dense and young. Raw and racy, but underneath there's beautiful dark fruit, bay leaf and spices. Medium sweet. A racy acidity. This may lack some balance now, but it's promising for the future. 88+
