I was having similar thoughts. I'm in London on Friday, if that works.

The date works for me, but how about a slight variation of theme to become "bring a bottle of vintage port to share"

Yes please. Tasting mats would be good. Could we have 3 definite attendees (you, me, Tom) and 3 spares for last minute attendees?

Thank you!

In his defence, I can tell you that AHB has had no alcohol whatsoever fro a number of days so his brain-power is current,y sub-optimal.

I thank counsel for my defence. Clearly the lack of alcohol has had a far more serious effect than I had realised.

Recovering from 5 days without alcohol - but co-codemol and antibiotics seemed to be almost as good - I am now raring to go for Thursday. I may be late arriving (7-7:30), but my bottle was delivered to TCP on Saturday morning so is standing in their office and settling nicely.

Would the first person to arrive be kind enough to decant the bottle for me please?

Also, if we are planning on running this as a blind tasting, I did not disguise my bottle in any way so the person doing the decanting will need to hide the identity of the wine. Decanting into an empty Hildon Spring Water bottle should do the trick quite nicely!

Any last minute additions to join us at the tasting would be very welcome. Don't be shy. Either post here or just turn up on the day.

Thank you.

And DRT has kindly agreed to create the interlinked TN threads, so we're away.

I'll be there at about 17:30.
