S82, from The Crusting Pipe (we did have to give them money). Lovely red, 60% opaque. Tart on tongue, and rich. The medium-sweetness decays quickly to leave the sensation of the acidity. Very drinkable. Bought before the arrival of THRA and RLC, who respectively guessed T83 and Fr83.

S82, the following day, from two sample bottles. Dark red, 70% opaque. DRT thought the nose dusty, with pepper. The taste rich, sweet, soft. Not long; lovely to the end. Cherries. Thick and delicious.

Given the clue that it was one from the previous night in TCP, DRT, to whom it was blind, correctly identified it as the S82, attributing it to the nose.

Deep red, mature yet still with some youthfulness. Soft red fruits on the nose. Soft, medium bodied entry bringing sweet prunes and damsons and a slight peppery bite. The tannins are light, with noticeable but balanced acidity. The aftertaste is acidic and slightly unbalanced and has a short finish of rhubarb. 84/100. Drunk 26 August 2010.
