NV Dalva White 10YO (bottled 2009)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Tasted at C. da Silva's new tasting house in Vila Nova de Gaia. Bottled 2009. Deep orange in colour, with a light centre, 5% opaque. Soft nose of peaches and apricots. Medium density in texture, bringing gentle flavours of sweet lychee and apricot. Aeration releases some lovely spice. Dry finish, with soft peaches on the good length finish. This is an enjoyable aperitif wine. 88/100. Drunk 28 September 2010.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
