Bright, and pinker than the ’75. Musty nose, with cherries—though not the Cockburn nose I encountered here. Good length, with cough mixture and candy.
Dark with an interesting nose and a young port smell. Nice weight. Lots of debate about what that taste is until I came up with Veno's - some heat at the ack of the throat but a nice long finish.

I couldn't remember this at all until Derek mentioned the Veno's. I'm not completely convinced by 1983 and I'm finding 1980 much more palatable for the big houses, if a little light.

I noticed a musty nose that blew off on the two bottles of F83 I have had so far. Same for the length and concentration. Since the must disappeared after a couple of hours, I did not see it as a negative considering how nice this vintage is other wise.
