1976 Warre Colheita (bottled 2008)

Post by g-man »

1976 Warres Colheita Bottled 2008
Opened 24 hours

A fine amber color with shades of ruby in the core.

Nice orange marmalade backed with some burnt light brown sugar flushed out with a nice cedar base.

Medium bodied with notes of candied cranberries, orange peel and cardamon.

Finish of sweet spirits with a touch of underroasted chestnut that lingers for about 40 seconds.

Needs more time to smoothen out some of the bitterness and pick up more complexity.

Thanks for the note. A birth year port and sounds like a nice one. I shall have to look around for some.
