Good, dark, colour. Some fruit still in the mouth, followed by a long, impressive after-taste. Fabulous.

Red in colour, 40% opaque. Nose full of warm, over-ripe oranges, vanilla and nettles. Modest entry, and develops well in the mouth; bitters on the edge of the tongue. Air releases more flavour and increases the intensity of those flavours. Modest aftertaste, but a big finish that fills the mouth with terrific intensity. An astonishing and vibrant port. 94/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
