1991 Quinta de la Rosa vintage port

Post by DRT »

Decanted less than an hour ago. Perhaps 45 minutes less.

Good, strong, dark red clolour. Lots of strawberry on the nose and even more in the entry. Pure strawberry jam. Quite heavy textured with black fruits beneath that initial strawberry burst. Good tannic structure, perhaps lacking a little acidity.

This is very nice juice that is drinking well but has enough about it to last, and potentially improve, for another 5 to 10 years.

I am very happy to hear this - my father purchased a case at a charity auction held by my sister's school a few years ago. I will seek to relieve him of a few bottles.
