A rich golden red with a clear rim. Pepper, spice and a little dust on the nose. Swirling gives a faint hint of VA. Not in a bad way, the smell that comes with age. Very thick and syrupy texture. The entry is sweet and delicious. Lots of dried fruits and nutty flavours but predominantly oranges. Some heat in the mid palate is followed by a minty tingle on the tongue. The finish is long and mouthwatering. This is absolutely delicious Port.

I have to thank AHB for very generously sending me a tasting sample from this fine old bottle. Thank you, Sir, you are a gentleman
