Light centre, soft pink rim; 40% opaque. Mature on the nose with redcurrant jelly dominating. Dry in the mouth, but quite big. Tannins are soft, flavours are full and rich. Good body - a big port with a big aftertaste and a very, very long finish. Extremely pleasant drinking. Guessed to be Dow 1970. 91/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Red but lightening. Plummy on the nose. Slightly fruity in the mouth. Nice but not great.
