V09. Lots of red fruit, and lots of violets. A lot bigger than the DR09.

Nearly a quarter Sousão, this had a spicy nose with very soft red fruit in mouth. Some cherries, again, as might be expected. Fantastic.

600 cases made. Cask sample. Subdued nose, plenty of fruit and fresh basil once given time to open in the glass. Silky entry, with a lovely elegance of fruit; fabulous balance and perfume in the wine. Terrific complexity and so much fruit but with the tannins lurking in the background. Heat on the aftertaste, then fruit and tannins bob in and out all the time. Simply lovely. 92-94/100.
