FG84. Lovely red. To taste red fruit, with some roughness.

The brevity of this note suggests that the evening might have been a good way along.

A lovely red colour, just showing some middle age maturity - 90% opaque. A lovely nose of nutmeg and cherries. Big and ripe fruit wrapped around soft tannins which have a lovely balance and poise. Delicious on the palate with delightful floral tones. The floral tones dominate the aftertaste before a decent finish with red licorice dominating over sweet espresso. Very impressive. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
