Pale orange, 10% opaque. Nosing of cabbage and alcohol. Very sweet in the mouth, little but mild brown sugar at first but a lime juice essence lurks underneath the sugary water. Simple palate. Sweet mandarins on the aftertaste, then a burst of heat before a lingering finish that slowly changes to a bitter cigar ash that dances round the tongue. (Vintage guessed to be 70, 70, 75, 75; shipper guessed to be Delaforce, Offley, Ferreira.) 85/100. 1 hour of decanting.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
