Still opaque but showing no baby-port magenta. Raspberry creme brulee on the nose, with some attractive baked fruit tones. Sweet fruit on entry and showing good poise; woody tannins slowly show through but never dominate. Big fruit dominated palate. A tingling aftertaste and a big tannic chocolate finish that is very sticky and very long. Clearly closing down. 89/100

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
